“Scrap Logs” are basically a form of quilt diary that I started making from the little scrap fabric pieces that I had left over after making a quilt. To make one, I basically dig through my fabric trash can on my cutting table and pull out some of the larger dog ears or trimmed pieces from the various fabrics that I used in my quilt and cut a 1 inch square from each. I then take a piece of cardstock and print out the quilt name, quilt author, fabric line, and fabric designer on the top of the page. The 1 inch squares of fabric are taped to the card stock with double sided tape and serve as a nice graphic display and reference card for the quilt.
