Pattern: Easter Parade
Pattern By: Blackbird Designs
Fabric: 14 count Fiddlers Cloth
Threads: DMC
The Easter Parade pattern by Blackbird Designs contains patterns for 2 different projects. One project is a cute bunny picking flowers and the other is a basket of flowers. So far I have only stitched the bunny pattern.
I stitched the bunny on 14 count Fiddlers Cloth and I used the DMC flosses listed later in this post in place of the called for fancy flosses.
The Easter Parade pattern caught my eye for a few reasons. I had been looking for a bunny pattern but I didn’t want to go down the Peter Rabbit bunny trail (get it?). The bunny in this pattern reminded me more of a soft, snuggly Velveteen Rabbit. The colors also stood out to me as very warm and muted Spring colors, which I liked. The final pieces that sealed the deal were the style of the flowers in the pattern and the cute little backpack.
I think this project makes a great addition to your Easter decor, but it is not so “in your face” easter themed that you can’t leave it out as a part of your regular Spring (and possibly Summer) decor.
DMC Flosses:
